Solboat hires you the whole boat for your group, with or without a skipper, in Benalmádena, Manilva and Estepona. The two big boats — the Tyrion catamaran and the Sea Ray 33 — come with a professional skipper and take up to 10 people, from €330 for 2 hours.
First, what we're not: we don't provide a DJ, a photographer, catering or an open bar, and nobody from Solboat will be pouring your drinks. What you get is a private boat for your group, a sound system you plug your phone into, and the freedom to bring your own food and drink. That's how the vast majority of the hen dos and birthdays leaving our berths are run.
Sailing is daylight only, so boat parties on this coast happen in the afternoon. The slot people book most is the four-hour one that ends with the sun going down over the water: you head out, anchor in a cove, eat, swim and come back in at sunset — which is when everyone carries on at the terraces in the marina itself.
Only two boats in the fleet take ten people, and each is in a different harbour. These are the real options, with no invented capacities.
7.87 metres, a flat deck between the two hulls, a bow net and a professional skipper included. €330 for 2 hours, €440 for 3, €550 for 4 and €990 for a full 8-hour day, fuel included. It's the hen-do boat: it doesn't roll, so you can set out a table and nobody has to watch the helm.
Twelve metres, up to 10 people and a skipper included, €550 for 2 hours. More boat and more cockpit than the catamaran, with the advantage of sailing out onto a far quieter coast: the Casares coves and Sabinillas beach are a short run away.
If there are six or eight of you and you fancy taking the helm, the Nova or the Kronos (5.5 m, 8 seats) leave Puerto Marina at €100 per hour or €170 for 2 hours, with no licence required. Less room to set anything up on board, but a considerably cheaper day.

Cake in the cool box, your playlist on the boat's speakers and a cove to anchor in. The skipper finds the spot with the least swell and cuts the engine. No venue closing time and no queue at the bar, because you brought the bar.
The most booked plan of the summer. A private boat for the group, an afternoon slot and back into port at sunset — which at Puerto Marina means landing straight in the middle of the terraces. What comes aboard is up to you; we provide the boat, the skipper and the music.
A few hours on a boat beats any meeting room with a view: ten people, four hours and an anchorage to swim from. We invoice companies, and if the group is larger we run two boats that leave together and anchor side by side.
Two- or three-hour trips at sunset, with the sun ahead of you and the Mijas hills behind. If you want to set something up on board — flowers, a cold bottle, a banner — bring it before departure and we'll help you rig it.

We don't sell catering and there's no bar on board: bring your cool boxes and you'll find a sound system and plenty of room. It works out cheaper and everyone drinks what they actually want.
