Hen party boat trips from Puerto Marina

Solboat runs hen party boat trips in Benalmádena from Puerto Marina, berths 685, 686 and 687. The group boat is the catamaran Tyrion: up to 10 guests, professional skipper and fuel included, from 330€ for 2 hours. Open every day from 09:00 to 21:00.

Puerto Marina is not an ordinary marina. It is built on artificial islands with the buildings perched on top, so simply motoring out of it is part of the day. You board at the berth itself, with no transfers and no queueing, and within five minutes the harbour mouth is behind you and the whole bay is ahead, with Monte Calamorro and the Mijas hills as a backdrop.

A typical hen party route is short and unhurried: Torremuelle, Carvajal and the little coves along the Mijas stretch to the west, or La Carihuela and Torremolinos to the east. You drop anchor, swim, raise a glass and head back. And when you step off the boat you are already in Puerto Marina, which is wall-to-wall restaurants and bars, so nobody has to get in a car to carry on the night.

What we provide and what you bring

No small print. On the catamaran we provide the boat, the professional skipper, the fuel, the safety equipment and the sound system on board, so you can plug in your own playlist. What we do not do is catering, an open bar, a DJ or a photographer. We do not offer any of it, because it is not what we do, and we would rather say so than charge you for it. Drinks, cake and nibbles come up the gangway with you, and if you ask we will point you to the shops near the marina. Decorations are welcome: balloons, sashes and banners, yes. Confetti and glitter, no, because they end up in the sea.

Which boat suits your group size

This is the first decision and it shapes everything else, so here are the real numbers for the Puerto Marina fleet. Ten is our maximum: we have no boat that takes twelve, and a bigger group means going out on two boats.

Up to 10: the catamaran Tyrion

This is the hen party boat. It always sails with a professional skipper, so nobody has to think about the helm, and the price includes fuel: 330€ for 2 hours, 440€ for 3 and 550€ for 4. Wide deck to stretch out on, a sound system, and the steadiness of a catamaran, which matters if anyone in the group gets seasick.

Up to 8: the Nova or the Kronos

Two 5.5 metre boats you can drive without any licence: 100€ an hour or 170€ for 2 hours, insurance and safety equipment included, fuel paid separately according to what you use. You take turns at the wheel, which is usually half the fun of the afternoon. We run through the controls at the berth before you cast off.

Up to 6 or 7: small boats and the Rocinante

For a smaller group, the Octo 47 CC and the Andrómeda go from 80€ an hour or 150€ for 2 hours, licence-free and seating 6. And if one of you holds a Spanish PER licence, the Rocinante has a 115 hp engine and 7 seats from 120€ an hour: it is the one that gets furthest if you fancy a longer run.

What actually happens
on a hen party afternoon

No impossible photo shoots. This is what an afternoon on the water out of Benalmádena really gives you.

Your playlist from the harbour mouth
On board

Your playlist from the harbour mouth

The catamaran has a bluetooth sound system, so the music is yours from the moment you leave the berth. The skipper handles the navigating and finds the right spot to anchor. Your only job is keeping the playlist going.

Anchor and swim in the bay
Swimming

Anchor and swim in the bay

The swim stop is the part every group remembers. You anchor in Benalmádena bay or off Torremuelle and Carvajal, the engine goes off and the boat stays put for as long as you want. Calm water, nobody around, and no rush to head back.

Late afternoon light on the Mediterranean does the job on its own, with Puerto Marina and the hills behind you. We do not bring a photographer, but the skipper will take the group shot as many times as it takes, and one of them always lands.

A toast as the sun drops

A toast as the sun drops

Late afternoon slots are the most requested for hen parties: this stretch of coast faces the setting sun head-on and the sky turns orange over the Mijas hills. Bring your own bottle, chill it on board and raise it there.

Hen party trips you can already book in Benalmádena

They all sail from Puerto Marina with a skipper included and one fixed price per group, so you know what it works out at per person before you book.

Why Benalmádena for a hen party

It is our biggest base, and the one that works best if the plan is a boat in the afternoon and a night out after.

Six boats, including the 10-seater

Puerto Marina has the largest fleet: the catamaran Tyrion for a full group and five smaller boats. More choice and more weekend slots free than at a small marina.

A fixed price with no invented extras

The catamaran is 330€ for 2 hours with skipper and fuel included. The smaller boats start at 80€ an hour with insurance and safety equipment, fuel billed separately on actual use. No packages built on services that turn out not to exist.

The night carries on in the same marina

Step off the boat and the restaurants and bars of Puerto Marina are right there, with Plaza Solymar a short walk away. That is why so many groups pick Benalmádena: boat at seven, dinner at ten, nobody has to drive.

Getting to Puerto Marina

We are at berths 685, 686 and 687 in Puerto Marina, Benalmádena Costa. Here is the exact location and the phone number for the base.

Take the Benalmádena Costa exit off the A-7 or the AP-7 and follow the signs for Puerto Marina. It is about 20 minutes from Málaga city, 15 from the airport and about 40 from Marbella.

There is parking next to the berths and metered spaces along the seafront. If you are coming without a car, the C-1 commuter train stops at Arroyo de la Miel and it is about 10 minutes by taxi or bus from there, which is the sensible option when there is going to be a toast.
